Museum of Glass

 May 5, 2025

Another place we wanted to visit on our last trip to New York was the Corning Museum of Glass. Yes, that Corning, the one that makes Corningware, Corelle, and Pyrex. I had hopes that the museum would cover a little more of the housewares manufacturing history than it did. However, the museum is amazing, and quite the maze itself in one of the galleries!

The museum covers the history of glass, industrial uses of glass as well as some incredible glass art. No wonder the ticket is good for two days. They have glassmaking demonstrations throughout the day. You can make your own glass souvenir for an extra cost. For some of the souvenirs, you'll need to plan on picking it up the next day or having it shipped.

We're so glad we were able to visit. Quite often I had to remind myself that buying a glass piece of art would not work the best in an RV!
