We enjoyed the opportunity to meet with several friends over the month of December. Most of whom we've met through kite flying.
We strolled Colonial Williamsburg with Adam and Joyce, and Glen and Tanna. Glen and Tanna are very familiar with Colonial Williamsburg, and we were glad for their expertise.
Charlie and Joan were thrilled to see so many kite flying friends in their neck of the woods - when there wasn't even a kite festival! It took several attempts, but we were finally able to get everyone together for a late breakfast one morning.
Later, Mearl and Adrianne, who lived just over an hour away, invited us, along with Glen and Tanna, to their lovely home for a gracious meal. I even learned what a porte-couteau was. It's a French term for a knife holder for a table setting, in case you're wondering.
Charlie and Joan took us to Busch Gardens for the Christmas lights followed by a drive through the Newport News festival of lights. A great visit that heightened the anticipation for the upcoming month.
